Call to Worship
Psalm 106:1 (ESV)
1 Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
I Set My Hope On Jesus
When this life of trials tests my faith
I set my hope on Je-sus
When the questions come and doubts re-main
I set my hope on Je-sus
For the deepest wounds that time won’t heal
There’s a joy that runs still deep-er
There’s a truth that’s more than all I feel
I set my hope on Je-sus
Chorus
I set my hope on Jesus
My rock, my only trust
Who set His heart up-on me first
I set my hope on Je-sus
VERSE 2
Though I falter in this war with sin
I set my hope on Je-sus
When I fail the fight and sink with-in
I set my hope on Je-sus
Though the shame would drown me in its sea
And I dread the waves of just-ice
I will cast my life on Calvary
I set my hope on Je-sus
CHORUS
I set my hope on Jesus
My rock, my only trust
Who set His heart up-on me first
I set my hope on Je-sus
VERSE 3
Though the world call me to leave my Lord
I set my hope on Je-sus
Though it offer all its vain re-wards
I set my hope on Je-sus
Though this heart of mine is prone to stray
Give me grace enough to fin-ish
’Till I worship on that final day
I set my hope on Je-sus
Chorus
I set my hope on Jesus
My rock, my only trust
Who set His heart up-on me first
I set my hope on Je-sus
Come O Sinner
See the crown of thorns adorn the King, who labors to breathe in agony
Come, O sinner, come and see what our God became to set us free
Come, O sinner, come and mourn, for He calls your sin His own
Do you feel the weight of justice served?
He suffers the wrath that you deserve
Come, O sinner, come and mourn
For He bears the curse for all you’ve done
Oh, the wonder of this awesome scene, where our Savior bleeds
Oh, the power of the love of God, come and stand in awe
Come, O sinner, come rejoice, mercy fills this place of scorn
For He dies to save His enemies
That all who draw near may know His peace
Come, O sinner, come rejoice
Through the death of Christ, death is destroyed
Oh, the wonder of this awesome scene, where our Savior bleeds
Oh, the power of the love of God, come and stand in awe
Oh But God
Lost without hope of redemption
Blind in my need for a Savior,
Oh but God
Crushed by the weight of my failure,
Living the lie I created
Digging my grave without knowing,
Oh but God, oh but God
Rich in mercy how You loved me,
Too much to let me stay lost
My salvation sent from heaven,
Nailing my sin to a cross
Oh but God
You gave me a truth worth believing,
And I traded my chains for Your freedom
Cause You were the one that I needed,
Oh but God
Resurrecting my heart from the ruins,
My rescue came through like the morning
Now this is my sure testimony,
Oh but God, oh but God
Rich in mercy how You loved me,
Too much to let me stay lost
My salvation sent from heaven,
Nailing my sin to a cross
Oh but God
All the wreckage of my choices
You have turned to life from ashes
Lifted from death risen with Him
Now I stand in confidence
All the wreckage of my choices
You have turned to life from ashes
Lifted from death risen with Him
Now I stand in confidence
Rich in mercy how You loved me,
Too much to let me stay lost
My salvation sent from heaven,
Nailing my sin to a cross
Oh but God
Rich in mercy how You loved me,
Too much to let me stay lost
My salvation sent from heaven,
Nailing my sin to a cross
Oh but God
Passing of the Peace
James 2:8–13 (ESV)
8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. 9 But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it. 11 For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
Preaching of the Word
Psalm 16:1-11 ESV
[1] Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. [2] I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” [3] As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight. [4] The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names on my lips. [5] The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot. [6] The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. [7] I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. [8] I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. [9] Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. [10] For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption. [11] You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Jesus Paid It All
I hear the Savior say,
“Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.”
CHORUS
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
VERSE 2
Lord, now indeed I find
Thy pow’r, and Thine alone,
Can change the leper’s spots
And melt the heart of stone.
CHORUS
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
VERSE 3
And when before the throne,
I stand in Him complete,
Jesus died my soul to save,
my lips shall still repeat.
CHORUS
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.

O praise the One who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead
OUTRO
O praise the One who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead
O praise the One who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead
Lord's Supper
23 For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for[f] you. Do this in remembrance of me.”[g] 25 In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

Commission
Hebrews 13:20–21 (ESV)
20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
