Call to Worship
Hebrews 12:28–29 (ESV)
28Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,
29for our God is a consuming fire.

The Cup was Not Removed
Verse 1
The cup was not removed, He drank it all , See Him hanging there where belong His tears were as scarlet, But there in the garden
The cup was not removed
O praise the Lamb who takes away my sin
He tore the veil, now I can enter in
For all my days my soul will praise Him
Verse 2
The law was not removed, it was fulfilled
The prayers of all the prophets now revealed
In the image of the Father
The yes of every promise
The law was not removed
O praise the Lamb who takes away my sin
He tore the veil, now I can enter in
For all my days my soul will praise Him
O praise the One with scars in His hands
O praise the Son who died and rose again
For all my days my soul will praise Him
Verse 3
My sins are now removed, yes every one
Taken by my Jesus on the cross
As far as east and west
I see His righteousness
My sins are now removed
The cup was not removed, He drank it all , See Him hanging there where belong His tears were as scarlet, But there in the garden
The cup was not removed
O praise the Lamb who takes away my sin
He tore the veil, now I can enter in

The Lord Almighty Reigns
There's an endless song waiting to be sung
With the voice of every tribe, the sound of every tongue
When the bride of Christ on that day of days
Brings with joy unto the land a multitude of praise
Like the roar of mighty seas and rolls of thunder
Hear His people sing
Hallelujah, hallelujah
For the Lord Almighty reigns
Hallelujah, hallelujah
For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns
We will join the feast, rest from battles won
Tell with great rejoicing all the wonders God has done
And like the roar of mighty seas and rolls of thunder
All the church will sing
Hallelujah, hallelujah
For the Lord Almighty reigns
Hallelujah, hallelujah
For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns
Certain of that day, Christ we will proclaim
Oh, that more would share the pride, salvation in His name
Then greater will the anthem ring
The mighty chorus rising to the King
With the voice of every tribe, the sound of every tongue
When the bride of Christ on that day of days
Brings with joy unto the land a multitude of praise
Like the roar of mighty seas and rolls of thunder
Hear His people sing

He Will Be
VERSE 1
God is faithful to His word
Even when there seems no way
Though time may pass
His memory will not fade
His promises will never fail
CHORUS 1
Faithful He has been, faithful He will be
Time and time again His Word returns complete
To His truth I cling when the night is deep
Faithful He has been, faithful He will be
VERSE 2
God is gracious when I doubt
He draws near though I retreat
Though I may wander
through the wilderness
He goes with me and gives me peace
CHORUS 2
Gracious He has been, gracious He will be
What I don’t deserve the Father gives to me
Where He leads my feet I shall not want or need
Gracious He has been, gracious He will be
VERSE 3
God is worthy of my song
Countless are His awesome deeds
His mighty hand has parted raging seas
For those He loves, He has redeemed
CHORUS 3
Worthy He has been, Worthy He will be
Crowned in endless praise all earth and heaven sing
Holy is the Lord who reigns in majesty
Worthy He has been, worthy He will be
BRIDGE
He is my provider, covenant protector
All my hope is in the Lord my God
He is my sustainer, merciful redeemer
All my hope is in the Lord my God

Public Reading of Scripture
Genesis 4:1–17 (ESV)
Cain and Abel
4 Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.” 2 And again, she bore his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a worker of the ground. 3 In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground, 4 and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering, 5 but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell. 6 The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is contrary to you, but you must rule over it.”
8 Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him. 9 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know; am I my brother’s keeper?” 10 And the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground. 11 And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12 When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.” 13 Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” 15 Then the Lord said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him. 16 Then Cain went away from the presence of the Lord and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
17 Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. When he built a city, he called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch.

Preaching of the Word
1 Corinthians 12:1–11 (ESV)
1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed.
2You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led.
3Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.
4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;
5and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;
6and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
7To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
8For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
10to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

There is Only One Name
Who is near to the broken-hearted?
Who is here with us in our sorrow?
Knows our grief and bore our suffering
Who comes running when we call out?
Who shows mercy when we fall down?
Lifts us up in our weakness
There is only one name
There is only one name
Who is worthy of all praise
Who will not hold our sins against us
Who has wounds pouring out forgiveness
Who alone has power to save
Who at last will bring death to its end
Who will no longer let the dark win
Who will raise us from the grave
There is only one name
There is only one name
Who is worthy of all praise
Jesus, Jesus
Name above all other names
Worthy of our endless praise
Who is here with us in our sorrow?
Knows our grief and bore our suffering
Who comes running when we call out?
Who shows mercy when we fall down?
Lifts us up in our weakness

Revelation 7:9–10 (ESV)
9After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
10and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
