Giving

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

- Matthew 6:21

Why we give.

God is generous and so he calls us to be as well.  What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.

generosity liturgy

Below is a liturgy that we say together as a church family as a way of counter-formation FROM the accumulation of wealth & possessions the world tells us to pursue TO the way of Jesus who says we are more blessed when we give than when we receive.
"Holy Father, you are a faithful provider. Everything I have is a gift from you. All I have and am belongs to You. To give without sacrifice,
to keep everything to myself,
and to build my own kingdom
is the way of the world that You cannot abide.
But generosity is the way of those who call Christ their Lord;
who love Him with freed hearts,
and serve Him with renewed minds; who withstand the delusion of riches,
whose hearts are in His kingdom
and not the systems of the world.
I am determined to increase in generosity
until it can be said there is no need among us. I’m determined to be trustworthy,
with such a little thing as money,
that You may trust me with true riches.
Above all, I am determined to be generous, because You, Father, are generous. It is the delight of your daughters and sons, to share Your traits, and to make You known in the world."

Ways To Give

Give Online

The primary way we encourage our church to give is through our online giving tool (on this page). This tool is secure and provides robust tracking for year end reports and tax documentation.

Give In Person

You can always give in person with cash or a check. On Sunday's there's a locked box marked "Tithe" on the welcome table. You can always see any pastor or deacon with questions around giving.
